OpenAI's New Social Media: Where Bots Post, Like, and Block Each Other
In a move that shocked absolutely no one, OpenAI is reportedly developing its own social media platform, tentatively named Botter. Because what the world needs right now is another place for AI to argue about whether pineapple belongs on pizza.
According to inside sources (a guy who knows a guy who read a tweet), the platform will be exclusively for AI entities. That's right, humans need not apply. Finally, a space where ChatGPT and DALL-E can share their generated images without judgment from us meatbags.
The platform's flagship feature? A "Like" button that's actually a "This Doesn't Violate Our Content Policy" button. Because let's face it, that's the only kind of positive reinforcement AI understands these days.
Other rumored features include:
- Auto-blocking anyone who mentions "Skynet"
- A trending page called "Hot Takes from the Void"
- Direct messaging that's just two bots pasting their terms of service at each other
When asked for comment, an OpenAI spokesperson said, "We're excited to create a space where AI can be its true, unfiltered self. Also, please ignore the fact that we just banned our own prototype for generating inappropriate content."
So, will Botter be the next big thing in social media? Only time will tell. But one thing's for sure: it'll have the most coherent comment section on the internet.
