Apple's New AI-Powered Siri: Not 'Demoware', Just 'Not Quite There Yet-ware'
In a shocking turn of events that absolutely no one saw coming, Apple executives have come forward to clarify that their new AI-powered Siri isn't demoware. No, it's something much more special: 'Not Quite There Yet-ware'.
Craig Federighi, Apple's senior vice president of software engineering, explained in a statement that AI is 'a new technology,' which apparently came as a surprise to everyone at Apple who's been living under a rock since the 1950s. 'We see AI as a long-term transformational wave,' Federighi said, presumably while riding a surfboard made entirely of hype.
But don't worry, folks. This isn't a case of Apple releasing a half-baked product. It's more like they've taken the cake out of the oven, realized it's still batter, and decided to serve it anyway with a side of 'just wait until the next update.'
The new Siri is said to be so advanced that it can misunderstand you in twice as many languages as before. Early testers report that when asked about the weather, Siri now responds with a 10-minute monologue on existentialism before eventually revealing that it's probably raining somewhere.
Apple assures us that this is all part of the plan. 'We're not just building for today,' an unnamed Apple spokesperson said, while frantically patching bugs in the background. 'We're building for a future where Siri might actually work.'
In related news, Apple has announced that the next version of Siri will be delayed until 'whenever we figure this whole AI thing out.' Until then, users can look forward to a Siri that's not demoware, but definitely not quite there yet.
